Classic Green Beans

  • 1 pound green beans-ends chopped off
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons of garlic or butter olive oil


Bring a pot of water to a boil. Boil beans for 4-5 minutes.

Drain green beans and add to an ice bath. Drain and set aside until ready to sauté.

Heat skillet on medium heat with garlic olive oil for at least 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook until light brown. Add green beans and cook for 3-5 minutes. Finish with salt & pepper.

Optional: Add cooked bacon or cheese to finish
