This class will run from 9am-12pm. After you have paid for the class we will call you to get your child's name, age, and any medical or dietary information.
Foster that new found independence and encourage creativity and confidence in the kitchen with a class that focuses on your budding chef! Each day will start with an introduction to basic culinary skills such as safety, cleaning and choosing menu ingredients! All classes encourage interaction and participation and no recipe will taste the same as these chefs get to choose most of the main ingredients! Chefs will use those new culinary skills right away and create delicious snacks, meals and desserts with recipes and reviews printed for each day of cooking including a section on Food Safety Tips. Classes begin fairly easy then progress to more challenging menu items.
Our summer kids classes will be taught by Chef Rachel Zierzow. 
From toddler age, Rachel began following her mother around the garden and learning how to cook. Through this early education, she learned about the secret ingredient in every recipe: LOVE. Rachel is a natural foods culinary instructor specializing in health-conscious cuisine (plant-based, gluten-free, macrobiotic, and Ayurvedic cooking). She is inspired by traditional Latin American, Mediterranean, Indian, and Japanese cuisines. She is passionate about guiding individuals to make gradual changes that offer lasting health benefits, and has been teaching natural foods cooking and healing to school-age children and adults for 12 years. Rachel is a certified natural foods chef and macrobiotic health counselor, and holds a BA in Biology and MA in Ecology and Evolution.

Camp may be cancelled up to 1 week prior to camp start date to receive a full refund. If cancelled within 1 week then we cannot issue a refund.
